Using this service

These terms cover the Bedford Tree Care website, general guidance, project planner and quote-request service. Please read them alongside the privacy policy and cookie policy. They do not replace the quotation or work contract issued by the business providing the work.

About Bedford Tree Care

Bedford Tree Care provides tree-care guidance, project planning and a way to request a quotation. A responding tree-care business assesses the work, provides its quotation and agrees any work directly with you under its own terms. There is currently no charge to homeowners for using the website or sending a request. We may receive a fee for arranging an enquiry.

Guidance and safe planning

Our articles explain general considerations. Suitability depends on the tree, property, conditions and current requirements. Obtain a competent site-specific assessment where needed and check permissions with the relevant authority. Photographs and diagrams are illustrative unless clearly stated otherwise; generated photographs are not records of completed Bedford jobs.

Do not climb trees, enter unsafe areas or undertake hazardous work to complete the planner. Observe only from a safe place. This website is not an emergency service and messages are not continuously monitored. Where there is immediate danger to people, use the appropriate emergency service.

Your project and information

Provide accurate information to the best of your knowledge and tell the contractor where measurements or descriptions are uncertain. Submit information only where you are entitled to do so. A postcode check is a service-area filter, not proof of an address, ownership, permission or safety. Do not upload unlawful material, unnecessary personal information or photographs you have no right to share.

The planner is not a verified pricing calculator. A saved brief or enquiry acknowledgement is not a quotation, appointment or promise of availability. Keep your own copy of any brief you need: temporary drafts expire after two hours.

Requesting a quote and agreeing work

After you send your request, you may be contacted to discuss the work and arrange an assessment or quotation. Timing and availability depend on the work and location; sending the form does not guarantee a price, attendance or outcome. This is not an emergency service.

Before agreeing work, check the responding business’s identity, relevant competence, insurance, written scope, total price including applicable taxes, timing, access, waste arrangements, permissions and cancellation terms. Any work agreement and payment are with the business named on the quotation. Your consumer rights remain unaffected.

Acceptable use and website content

Do not misuse the site, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its security or submit spam. You may read, print and save guidance and your own brief for personal project planning. Do not reproduce substantial website content commercially without permission. Third-party material remains subject to its owner’s rights. External links are provided for reference; their content and availability are outside our control.

Availability and responsibility

We take reasonable care in operating the site but it may be interrupted or contain errors. Tell us about inaccuracies so we can investigate. We remain responsible for our own legal obligations; a contractor’s separate responsibility does not remove them.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights. We do not exclude responsibility merely because information is provided without charge.

Questions and complaints

Contact Richard Summerfield using the details above, with the relevant page or enquiry reference and an explanation of the issue. Avoid sending unnecessary personal information. We will investigate complaints about our website or enquiry handling. Complaints about a contractor’s work should also be raised directly with that contractor; we can consider whether they affect future enquiry handling.

Changes and applicable law

We may update these terms as the service changes and will show the revised date. A change does not retrospectively alter an existing agreement with a contractor. The law of England and Wales applies, subject to any mandatory consumer protections and court rights available where you live in the UK.
